Considerações sobre a idéia de tempo em Sto. Agostinho, Hume e Kant

Abstract

Discute-se sobre o tempo buscando entendê-lo a partir dos referenciais que o tomam como elaboração subjetiva, ou seja, como não possuindo qualquer realidade fora do sujeito. Entende-se que, na história da Filosofia, esta reflexão inicia-se com a filosofia de Sto. Agostinho e tem seu ápice no pensamento moderno, sobretudo em Hume e Kant. O tempo seria uma construção ou elaboração do espírito, sem existência fora dele (Sto. Agostinho) ou uma apreensão empírica regular de relações causais de antes e depois (Hume) ou uma intuição pura do espírito (Kant). Pretende-se, com esta análise, evidenciar uma forma clássica de conceber o tempo como elaboração realizada pelo sujeito (subjetiva).

Se desenvuelve una discusión sobre el tiempo procurando entenderlo a partir de los referenciales que lo toman como elaboración subjetiva, o sea, como no teniendo ninguna realidad fuera del sujeto. Se entiende que, en la historia da Filosofía, esta reflexión tiene origen con la filosofía de San Agustín y llega a su ápice en el pensamiento moderno, sobretodo en Hume y Kant. El tiempo sería una construcción o elaboración del espíritu, sin existencia fuera de él (San Agustín) o una aprehensión empírica regular de relaciones causales de antes y después (Hume) o una intuición pura del espíritu (Kant). Se pretende, con este análisis, evidenciar una forma clásica de concebir el tiempo como elaboración realizada por el sujeto (subjetiva).

Time is discussed by trying to understand it from those points of reference that take it as a subjective elaboration, in other words, as not having any reality outside the individual. In the history of Philosophy it is understood that this line of reflection started with the philosophy of St. Augustine and reached its zenith in modern thought, above all in Hume and Kant. Time is a construction or an elaboration of the spirit, without any existence outside it (St. Augustine), or it is a regular empirical understanding of the causal relationships of the before and the after (Hume), or it is the pure intuition of the spirit (Kant). With this analysis it is intended to provide evidence of a classical way of conceiving of time as an elaboration of the individual (subjective).
