A presença materna em contos da literatura tradicional : uma leitura da sua intervenção em contos tradicionais portugueses que retratam o processo de crescimento/autonomização da criança

Abstract

Com este trabalho pretendemos analisar a intervenção de figuras femininas em contos do ciclo “A Gata Borralheira”, da obra Contos Populares e Lendas de José Leite Vasconcelos. Tentaremos perceber como a figura e caráter da presença materna interfere no processo de crescimento/autonomização da criança. A heroína é transportada até cenários muito próximos da sua realidade quotidiana, onde esta se vai deparando com problemas que necessitam de ser ultrapassados e, naturalmente, causadores de situações de dilema. Estes dilemas e a forma como a heroína os enfrenta irão ajudar a criança a compreender que só evoluirá psicologicamente se, tal como a heroína, for capaz de os enfrentar e que, para tal, pode sempre contar com uma presença materna espelhada na figura da mãe, madrasta, fada-madrinha, ou mesmo na figura animal. Para a autonomização da criança, será necessário que esta consiga penetrar nesta dimensão simbólica e ir extraindo, do mundo da fantasia para o mundo real, as orientações que lhe vão sendo transmitidas.

In this work we intend to examine the involvement of female characters in the tales of the cycle "Cinderella," from the masterpiece “Folk Tales and Legends” by José Leite Vasconcelos. We will try to understand how the character and personality of the maternal presence interferes with the growth process/ automation of the child. The heroin is set in scenarios close to her everyday reality. She is, then, forced to face and overcome certain problems, which are, naturally, the cause of dilemma situations. These dilemmas and how the heroine faces them will help the child understand that the only way to psychologically evolve, as the heroine did, is by dealing with the problems and that, to do so, she/he can always rely on a maternal presence mirrored in the mother, stepmother, fairy godmother, or even the animal character. For the automation of the child it is necessary that she/he is able to get inside this symbolic dimension. Moreover, he/she has to be able to extract, from the world of fantasy into the real world, the guidelines which are being transmitted.
