O blogue no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico : promoção das aprendizagens, da autonomia e da inclusão digital

Abstract

As dificuldades de aprendizagem dos alunos do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico são muitas vezes enfrentadas proporcionando aos alunos mais horas de apoio educativo, o que constitui apenas o prolongamento do mesmo tipo de trabalho que tem sido desenvolvido no horário letivo. No entanto, a sociedade mudou e as Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) assumiram um papel fundamental, criando novas formas de aprender e comunicar, mas fazendo surgir também um novo tipo de (i)literacia – a (i)literacia digital. Por isso, a escola tem de contribuir para a inclusão digital dos alunos, proporcionando-lhes oportunidades de aprender a usar as TIC e, mais do que isso, criar também a oportunidade de usar essas ferramentas digitais para promover a aprendizagem, indo ao encontro do interesse dos alunos pelas TIC. Ao longo do ano letivo 2011/2012, foi desenvolvido um projeto de criação de um blogue educativo com uma turma de alunos do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, do 2.º ano de escolaridade, cujos alunos mostravam pouco interesse pela aprendizagem, metade dos quais revelando dificuldades de aprendizagem, nomeadamente não tendo aprendido a ler nem a escrever durante o 1.º ano de escolaridade. Aproveitando o facto de os alunos terem recebido os computadores Magalhães, foi usado esse equipamento para promover a inclusão digital dos alunos. Os alunos aprenderam a usar o Word, o Paint e o PowerPoint, este último com a inserção de podcasts com a gravação das leituras dos alunos, bem como a fazer pesquisas na Web, a publicar mensagens no blogue, a consultá-lo e a escrever comentários. A utilização pedagógica do blogue enquanto portefólio das atividades da turma fomentou a prática da avaliação formativa e promoveu as aprendizagens dos alunos em várias áreas, como a Língua Portuguesa, a Matemática, o Estudo do Meio e as Expressões, bem como o desenvolvimento de competências gerais, atitudes e comportamentos que aumentaram o seu interesse pela aprendizagem , a sua autonomia e o seu desejo de partilha das aprendizagens através da Web, criando-lhes competências TIC que acreditamos serão importantes para continuarem a aprender na sociedade atual em que o acesso e o uso das TIC é indissociável do conhecimento.

To overcome learning difficulties of the students of the Elementary School, schools often give them more hours of educational support, which is just an extension of the same type of work that has been done in class. However, society has changed and the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have taken a key role in creating new ways to learn and communicate, but also giving rise to a new type of (i)literacy - digital (i)literacy. Therefore, the school must contribute to the digital inclusion of students by providing them opportunities to learn to use ICT and, even more, to create the opportunity to use these digital tools to promote learning, meeting the interest of students by ICT. During the school year 2011/2012, a project was developed to create an educational blog with a group of students of the Elementary School, of the 2nd grade. These students showed little interest in learning, half of which revealed learning difficulties, not having learned to read or write during the 1st grade. Taking advantage of the fact that students had received the Magalhães computers, this equipment was used to promote the digital inclusion. Students learned to use Word, Paint and PowerPoint, this one with the inclusion of podcasts with the recording of the students’ readings. They also learned to do researches on the Web, to publish blog posts, to consult it and to write comments. The pedagogical use of the blog as the portfolio of class activities encouraged the practice of formative assessment and promoted students learning in several areas, such as Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and Expressions as well as the development of general skills, attitudes and behaviors that increased their interest in learning, their autonomy and their desire to share learning over the Web, creating ICT skills that we believe to be important for them to continue to learn in the current society where the access and the use of ICT can’t be separated from knowledge.
