O papel das atividades de expressão artística na transmissão das tradições no Agrupamento de Escolas de Atouguia da Baleia

Abstract

A sociedade atual tem vindo a sofrer diversas alterações desde os finais do século passado, devido a fatores de vária ordem. Algumas dessas alterações refletem-se ao nível da estrutura familiar e têm repercussão na sua constituição e organização, bem como na transmissão de valores e responsabilidades para com os seus educandos. Estas alterações têm vindo a obrigar a escola também a uma reestruturação ao nível das suas práticas, para responder de forma positiva às necessidades e interesses das crianças. As tradições culturais que anteriormente eram transmitidas pelas famílias tradicionais estão, devido ao ritmo de vida atual, quase esquecidas. Este estudo tem como principal objetivo compreender de que forma a escola pode contribuir para a transmissão das tradições locais, através da realização das atividades de Expressão Artística. Baseando-se na ação-investigação e na análise qualitativa, este estudo foi realizado em duas fases. A primeira inclui a EB/JI de Ribafria existindo um envolvimento dos docentes do 1º ciclo e Jardim de Infância na prática do ensino aprendizagem das atividades de Expressão Artística. A segunda corresponde à recolha de dados através da análise documental, do diário e dos inquéritos por questionário realizados a alunos, encarregados de educação e docentes do Agrupamento de Escolas de Atouguia da Baleia. Este trabalho permitiu concluir que a escola ajuda a promover a transmissão de tradições locais que são trabalhadas no contexto de sala de aula, através das atividades de Expressão Artística. As tradições locais para além de constituírem um conteúdo programático na área de Estudo do Meio são um riquíssimo recurso que pode ser utilizado na abordagem e exploração de diferentes conteúdos nas áreas de Expressão Artística.

Society has undergone several changes since the end of last century, due to factors of various kinds. Some of these changes are reflected at the level of family structure and have repercussions in its constitution and organization as well as the transmission of values and responsibilities towards its children. These changes obliged school to rethink its practices, to respond positively to the needs and interests of children. Owing to the busy life we have today, cultural traditions that have been provided by traditional families are almost forgotten. This study's main objective is to understand how the school can contribute to the transmission of local traditions, through the performance of activities of Artistic Expression. Based on the action-research and qualitative analysis, this study was conducted in two phases. The first one includes the EB / JI of Ribafria existing an involvement of teachers in the 1st cycle and kindergarten in the practice of teaching and learning activities of Artistic Expression. The second corresponds to the collection of data through document analysis, diary and questionnaire surveys to students, parents and teachers of the Group of Schools of Atouguia da Baleia. This study revealed that school helps promoting the transmission of local traditions that are worked in the context of the classroom, through the activities of Artistic Expression. Local traditions as well as being one syllabus in the area of Environmental Studies are a rich resource that can be used in the evaluation and exploration of different areas of Artistic Expression.
