Literatura e artes plásticas : uma nova linguagem : o modernismo brasileiro unui as formas de representação literatura e artes plásticas, dialogando em prol da renovação das artes brasileiras

Abstract

Esta dissertação defende a ideia da aproximação das linguagens artísticas imagem e texto atuando uma como complementação da outra e visa a apresentar como essa aproximação ocorreu nas artes brasileiras. Foram selecionados como objeto de nosso estudo o livro de Poesias Pau-Brasil, de Oswald de Andrade, publicado em 1925, e as obras de Tarsila do Amaral da fase pau-brasil, compreendidas entre 1923 e 1926. Para contextualizar e embasar o estudo, abordamos o papel das revistas literárias brasileiras do início do século XX, bem como o das revistas europeias na formatação e na disseminação dos movimentos artísticos do início do século XX, as vanguardas artísticas. No Brasil, as revistas disseminaram os conceitos da modernidade e da necessidade de uma arte nacional para o país. O estudo das revistas literárias modernistas, além de apresentar as ideias de modernidade, expõe o início do dialogo entre as formas de representação. Um vasto material teórico que fundamentou o objeto de estudo escolhido. A análise permeia a relação das produções literárias de Oswald e das artísticas de Tarsila, fazendo um comparativo entre os temas, as formas e as técnicas, apontando as semelhanças e as relações existentes entre ambas. Essa abordagem visou a defender as relações entre as formas de expressão, literária e artística, por intelectuais que ansiavam por uma arte que representasse nossas tradições e cultura. A escolha do livro Poesias Pau-Brasil e das obras de Tarsila da fase pau-brasil foi definida pela representatividade que os dois possuem na formatação da literatura e arte brasileira. Através de suas produções, criaram uma representação em que interagem o texto, a imagem, a oralidade, a cor, o som; enfim, as diversas formas de expressão e sentimentos. Ao final da análise, estão as obras que foram comentadas e comparadas com as obras literárias de Oswald.

This dissertation will defend that the line need to be thinner between the forms of expression image and text, blending and complementing one another. Moreover, will endeavour to show how this blending occurred in the Brazilian arts. It has been selected, as the object of our study, the book Poesias Pau-Brasil by Oswald de Andrade published in 1925, along with the pau-brasil pieces by Tarsila do Amaral, created between 1923 to 1926. As the theoretical background for this work, we studied the role played by the Brazilianm literary magazines dated from the beginning of the 20th century along with the European magazines in the formatting and dissemination of the artistic movements from the beginning of the 20th century, the Avant-garde. In Brazil, the magazines spread the concept of modernity and the need of art that essentially Brazilian. The study of modernist literary magazines, besides showing the modernist mind, exposes the very beginning of the dialog between the forms of expression. A vast resource of theoretical material that led to the object of research. The analysis also covers the connection between the literary productions of Oswald and the artistic work of Tarsila, comparing them in the following aspects: theme, form and technique, pointing out the existing similarities and differences. This approach intended to expose the connection between the Medias, text and image, used by intellectuals that thrived for an art that could represent out cultural tradition. The choice of the book Poesias Pau-Brasil and the work that is part of the pau-brasil series of Tarsila was only made because of the major effect both caused in the Brazilian literature and art formatting. Through each of their productions, the personalities created a representation that displays perfectly the interaction between text, image, orality, colour and sound, the many forms of expression and felling. Last, but not least are the works that were commented on and compared to the literary rary productions by Oswald.
