A poesia e alguns dos seus caminhos : uma perspetiva comparatista para a formação de leitores na aula de português língua materna

Abstract

A poesia faz parte integrante da vida dos povos, desde épocas remotas, tanto na transmissão de conhecimento, como em forma de entretenimento. Com este trabalho pretende-se, em primeiro lugar, refletir sobre o papel e a importância da poesia na aula de Português, defendendo-se as potencialidades que oferece na promoção da leitura e na formação de leitores. Seguidamente, analisa-se a presença do texto poético nos documentos orientadores da realidade educativa portuguesa e a forma como se desenvolve a competência da leitura e a competência literária. Na terceira parte, procura-se mostrar a cumplicidade que se pode estabelecer entre a poesia e outras artes, a pintura e a música e particularmente o Fado, através de vozes inovadoras de intérpretes deste género musical, incentivando a vontade de ouvir, ler e dizer, por prazer. No quarto momento, parte-se para a descoberta de pontos de contacto entre poemas do corpus previsto nas Metas Curriculares do Terceiro Ciclo do Ensino Básico e outros textos, literários ou não. Tendo como fio condutor um eixo temático específico e à luz da perspetiva comparatista, tenta-se estabelecer um diálogo entre autores e vários registos de um mesmo tempo e de tempos passados, propondo a uma conciliação interartes, a caminho da criatividade e da imaginação. Espera-se, assim, que a escola, através do poder transformador, intemporal e transversal da poesia, possa criar condições e ajudar a alargar os horizontes do conhecimento e da cidadania, fomentando o gosto pela língua e pelo património cultural, veículos de uma identidade própria. Por fim, apontam-se outros potenciais temas indutores de poesia a explorar, a partir dos textos presentes no Caderno da Apoio de Poesia, objeto de estudo deste trabalho, esperando sempre que a ligação entre a poesia a outras áreas do saber, possa suscitar a vontade de sentir e ler profundamente, uma palavra, um som, uma imagem até se chegar à obra integral.

Poetry is an integral part of the life of the peoples since ancient times, as much in the transmission of knowledge as in the form of entertainment. The intent of this work is, first of all, to reflect on the role and the importance of poetry in the Portuguese class, and argue in favour of its potential to promote reading and the formation of readers. The work assesses the presence of the poetic text in the documents that guide the Portuguese educational reality and the way the reading skills and the literary skills develop. In the third part, it is tried to show the complicity that can be established between poetry and other art forms, such as painting and music, especially fado, through innovative voices of performers of this music style, encouraging listening, reading and saying poetry for pleasure. In the fourth moment, the work moves to the discovery of points of contact between poems from the body of work established in the curricular goals of the “terceiro ciclo do ensino básico” and other texts, literary of not. Having as guiding principle a thematic axis, and in the light of the comparatist perspective, the author tries to establish a dialogue between authors and several records of one same time and past times, proposing a conciliation between arts as a way to creativity and imagination. It is, thus, expected that school, through the timeless and cross-cutting transformational power of poetry, can create conditions and help enlarge the horizons of knowledge and citizenship, fostering the love for language and cultural heritage, vehicles of identity. At last, other subjects that can induce poetry are proposed to explore, starting from texts present in the Caderno de Apoio de Poesia, this work’s object of study, always waiting that the link between poetry and the other areas of knowledge can create the will to feel and read deeply a word, a sound, an image, until one reaches the integral work.
