De l'amour à Un amour de Swann

Abstract

On November 14, 2013, the 100th anniversary of the publication of Swann’s Way will be celebrated. This first volume was to become the most prominent work by Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time. This essay aims at analyzing the presence of Stendhal’s love theory in this first novel, examining on the way Proust’s unfinished work, Jean Santeuil, considered here as a kind of pre-text of In Search of Lost Time.

Le 14 novembre 2013 on célèbre le centenaire de publication de Du côté de chez Swann, premier volume ouvrant l’œuvre la plus importante de Marcel Proust, À la Recherche du Temps Perdu. Cet article essaie d’analyser la présence de la théorie stendhalienne de l’amour dans ce premier roman, en passant notamment par l’œuvre inachevée Jean Santeuil de Proust, considérée ici comme une espèce d’avant-texte de la Recherche.
