EXPRECI: Exposição Regional de Engenharia e Ciências

Abstract

The project EXPRECI (Regional Exhibition of Engineering and Science) involves educational, scientific and technological activities in the community (Campus of UNESP, public schools and society that will visit the exhibition) with planned actions in order to encourage elementary and middle school students to take an interest in scientific activities in different areas of knowledge. In addition, this project helps to increase the interest and motivation of students in their regular classes, thus contributing to a possible improvement in the educational situation of these students. Furthermore, it is intended to stimulate, through the project, the interest of students in the engineering field. In addition, the project enhances the expertise of a team of monitors (graduate students) by developing various skills of these graduates, such as: leadership, oral, investigative capacity, teamwork, responsibility, etc., as these graduates will have direct integration with other students and general educational teachers. As a result of the project, the exhibition to be held in September 2015 will award the best exhibition projects, motivating their creators to participate in the FEBRACE or MOP. Although the participation at the EXPRECI is open to all the student communities, the project will work primarily with the students participating in the Academy of Sciences, which is a project that has been developed by the Braudel Institute in the city of Guaratingueta.

O projeto EXPRECI (Exposição Regional de Engenharia e Ciências) envolve atividades de caráter educativo, científico e tecnológico junto à comunidade (Campus da UNESP, escolas públicas e sociedade que visitará a exposição) com ações planejadas de forma a estimular os estudantes de ensino fundamental e médio a se interessarem por atividades científicas nas diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Ademais, tal projeto contribui para aumentar o interesse e a motivação dos alunos em suas aulas regulares, colaborando, assim, para uma possível melhora no quadro educacional desses estudantes. Não obstante, pretende-se engendrar, por meio do projeto, o interesse dos estudantes pela área da engenharia. Além disso, o projeto aprimora a capacidade técnica de uma equipe de monitores (estudantes de graduação) desenvolvendo diversas habilidades desses graduandos, tais como: liderança, oralidade, capacidade investigativa, trabalho em equipe, responsabilidade, etc., visto que esses terão integração direta com outros estudantes e professores de ensino básico. Como culminância do projeto, a exposição a ser realizada em Setembro de 2015 premiará os melhores projetos da exposição, motivando os seus criadores a participarem da FEBRACE ou da MOP. Embora a participação na EXPRECI seja aberta a toda comunidade estudantil, o projeto trabalhará, primeiramente, com alunos participantes da Academia de Ciências, que é um projeto desenvolvido pelo Instituto Braudel já há algum tempo na cidade de Guaratinguetá.
