Preservação do Santuário do Sagrado Coração de Jesus: projeto pêndulo direto

Abstract

The project "preservation of the Sanctuary" aims to monitor the movement, if it exist, of the tower of the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Vera Cruz (SP). This project started because of the appearance of cracks that formed in the tower structure (cracks with similar characteristics that are often caused by the differential settlements of the structure) and a slight displacement visible through the roof. Such monitoring is being carried out with the use of a direct pendulum, an instrument designed by students with the help of the teacher / advisor Haroldo de Mayo Bernardes and based on existing books and pendulums (in dams, mostly). This apparatus is constituted basically of a steel wire, steel weight or digital micrometer caliper, basis for setting the wire, the meter base for fixing equipment, and oil container. With the installation of this instrument can collect data with hundredths of a millimeter precision (caliper) or thousandths of a millimeter (micrometer) and so store them in a database for further interpretation, being able to quantify how much shifted if there was same displacement and to the direction of travel. But when enough measurements have not been made to reach a reliable result and complete the most appropriate action to take in relation to important asset for the city of Vera Cruz. In addition, the pendulum only measure the displacement occurred after installation and can not quantify how much the tower has already gone and as yet have not been conducted in depth research on the causative reasons for the repression, but have been a few cases of Because of this shift as: presence of collapsible soils, wooden stakes of aging. And together with the measurement is intended to carry out such studies to define the cause and if necessary, solve the problem.

O Projeto “preservação do Santuário” tem como objetivo monitorar o deslocamento, caso haja, da torre do Santuário do Sagrado Coração de Jesus, em Vera Cruz (SP). Esse projeto teve início devido ao aparecimento de fissuras que se formaram na estrutura da torre (fissuras com características semelhantes e que geralmente são causadas devido a recalques diferenciais da estrutura) e um leve deslocamento visível por meio do telhado. Tal monitoramento está sendo realizado com a utilização de um pêndulo direto, instrumento projetado pelos discentes com o auxílio do professor/orientador Haroldo de Mayo Bernardes e com base em livros e pêndulos existentes (em barragens, principalmente). Esse instrumento é constituído basicamente de um fio de aço, peso de aço, paquímetro digital ou micrómetro, base para fixação do fio, base para fixação dos aparelhos medidores, recipiente e óleo. Com a instalação deste instrumento é possível coletar dados com precisão de centésimos de milímetro (paquímetro digital) ou milésimos de milímetro (micrómetro) e assim armazená-los em um banco de dados para posterior interpretação, podendo-se quantificar o quanto deslocou, se houve mesmo deslocamento, e até a direção do deslocamento. Porém, no momento ainda não foram realizadas medições suficientes para chegar a um resultado confiável e concluir qual a medida mais adequada a ser tomada em relação ao importante patrimônio para a cidade de Vera Cruz. Além disso, o pêndulo apenas medirá o deslocamento ocorrido após a sua instalação, não podendo quantificar o quanto a torre já se deslocou e por enquanto ainda não foram realizados pesquisas a fundo sobre os motivos causadores de tal recalque, porém têm-se algumas hipóteses da causa desse deslocamento como: presença de solos colapsíveis, envelhecimento de estacas de madeira. E em conjunto com a medição pretende-se realizar tais estudos para se definir a causa e caso for necessário, solucionar o problema.
