A composição do livro Reinações de Narizinho, de Monteiro Lobato: consciência de construção literária e aprimoramento da linguagem narrativa

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta, primordialmente, um estudo sobre o processo de composição do livro Reinações de Narizinho, de Monteiro Lobato. Parte-se de um depoimento do próprio escritor em carta ao amigo Godofredo Rangel, escrita em 1931. Com base em passagens significativas do referido depoimento, realizam-se comentários e análises, dentre as quais se destacam o cotejo do volume com uma de suas versões preliminares, A Menina do Narizinho Arrebitado, e o estudo da unificação dos episódios que compõem a obra enfocada. No paralelo e na investigação dos meios de integração mobilizados, apontam-se as melhorias e os resultados do esforço de coesão obtidos por Lobato no que diz respeito a temas, ao discurso, aos recursos lingüísticos e à apresentação de personagens. A comparação e o estudo da unificação objetivam revelar o aprimoramento da linguagem narrativa lobatiana e verificar a compatibilidade de intenção e realização no livro considerado. Complementa o trabalho a contribuição a uma possível indexação dos episódios ficcionais e das personagens do livro Reinações de Narizinho.

This work shows, mainly, a study about the process of composition of the book Reinações de Narizinho, by Monteiro Lobato. We initiate it with a declaration of the writer in a letter to his friend Godofredo Rangel, written in 1931. Basing on significant passages of the referred declaration, some comments and analysis are performed. Among them, some deserve attention, as the comparison of the book with one of its previous versions, A Menina do Narizinho Arrebitado, and the study of the unification of the episodes that compose the work. In the confrontation and investigation of the ways of unification used, we can mention the advances and the results of the cohesion effort obtained by Lobato concerning the themes, the speech, the linguistic resources and the characters presentation. The comparison and the study of the unification have the purpose of revealing the improvement of Lobato's narrative language and examining the compatibility of intension and accomplishment in the book. The work is concluded with a contribution to a probable indexation of the fictional episodes and the characters of the book Reinações de Narizinho.
