Investigação sobre deformação neotectônica no lineamento Guapiara, região de Ourinhos, Fartura-SP e Santo Antonio da Platina - PR

Abstract

This study was done in the SW of the state of São Paulo and in the NE of the state of Paraná along the Guapiara Lineament, with a NW-SE direction, located on the boundary of the Ponta Grossa Arch. This lineament is characterized by a swarm of diabase dikes that belong to the Mesozoic period, which follow the main joints and fault planes developed during the rupture of the Gondwana Continent. Using thematic maps and field work, an important control in the geomorphologic features was noticed, conditioned by joints and faults which are responsible for alignments striking mainly NW-SE, and secondarily to the NE-SW direction. The major structural features mapped were joints and normal, strike-slip right-lateral, strike-slip leftlateral and reverse faults that deform sedimentary rocks in the Paraná Basin and diabase, basaltic and rhyolites dikes of the Serra Geral Formation. Eight dikes were mapped seven of them are in the NW-SE direction and one strikes NNW-SSW. The analysis of the faults demonstrates more than one deformational event into the evolutionary framework. The joints and faults deforming the dikes and basaltic rocks indicate post-Mesozoic tectonic activity, related to the rupture of the Gondwana Continent. Some of these structures denoted evidence of neotectonic deformation in the Guapiara Lineament

Este trabalho foi realizado no sudoeste do estado de São Paulo e noroeste do estado do Paraná ao longo do Lineamento Guapiara, de direção NW-SE, na borda do Arco de Ponta Grossa. Esse lineamento é caracterizado por um enxame de diques de diabásio, do Mesozoico, que se encaixaram nos principais planos de falhas e juntas formados durante a ruptura do Continente Gondwana. Através de mapas temáticos obtidos e pelo trabalho de campo, notou-se um importante controle na geomorfologia, condicionado por juntas e falhas que são responsáveis por gerar alinhamentos de direção NW-SE, seguida de NE-SW. As feições estruturais mapeadas foram: juntas, falhas normais, transcorrentes dextrais, transcorrentes sinistrais e inversa que deformam rochas sedimentares de Bacia do Paraná e diques de diabásio, basaltos e riólitos da Formação Serra Geral. Também foram mapeados oito diques, sendo que sete possuem direção marcante NW-SE e apenas um de direção NNE-SSW. A superposição das falhas indica mais de um pulso deformacional no quadro evolutivo. As juntas e falhas que deformam os diques e basaltos evidenciam uma atividade tectônica pós-magmatismo básico mesozoico relacionado à quebra do continente Gondwana e algumas destas estruturas representam índicios de deformação neotectônica no Lineamento Guapiara
