Hibridismo cultural: o imaginário europeu na construção da sexualidade feminina do primeiro século de colonização brasileira

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the conceptions of sexuality and female sexual behavior and conduct, formed from the merger of information and securities purchased under the eyes, rules and guidelines established relations with the Holy Office during his visit to Inquisitorial Brazil in the late sixteenth century. It is a survey of historical methodology in which we used as the exploratory research and literature. In the sixteenth century the Church increases the pressure to change the sexual mores that were free in the Middle Ages, a fact which influences the rules and regulations that are adopted by the Holy Office regarding the person's sex life. The first structure was based on Brazilian sexual alliance between Indians and settlers, which led to sugar, by the Portuguese, the customs of the land, which included sexual practices free since the Indians were out of Christian influence. Supported by the absence of white women, the settlers took them wives of the earth, usually more than one, creating conflict with the Jesuits who condemned Indian polygamy. In this context, in 1591, landed on Brazilian soil Heitor Furtado de Mendonca, and with it, the First Visitation of the Holy Office to investigate, arguing, exploring feelings and behaviors, to discover the true facts, finally, to demonstrate the errors Faith and punish them with the rigor of ecclesiastical law. His passing opens us to visualize traces of sexuality in the current "Tropic" a racist, misogynist world where black women and degraded land could be subject to the wishes of the white man, with whom he could mate at will. O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar e analisar as concepções acerca da sexualidade e de comportamentos e condutas sexuais femininas, formados a partir da incorporação de informações e valores adquiridos sob o olhar, regras e relações estabelecidas com as orientações do Santo Ofício Inquisitorial em sua visita ao Brasil no final do século XVI. É uma pesquisa de cunho histórico em que utilizamos como metodologia a pesquisa exploratória e bibliográfica. No século XVI aumenta a pressão da Igreja para mudar os costumes sexuais que eram livres na Idade Média, fato que influencia as regras e normas que serão adotadas pelo Santo Ofício no tocante à vida sexual das pessoas. A primeira estrutura sexual brasileira foi pautada na aliança entre índios e colonizadores, o que levou a adoço, por parte dos portugueses, dos costumes da terra, que incluíam práticas sexuais livres, já que os indígenas estavam fora da influência cristã. Reforçados pela ausência de mulheres brancas, os colonizadores tomavam para si mulheres da terra, geralmente mais de uma, criando confronto com os jesuítas que condenavam a poligamia indígena. É neste contexto que, em 1591, desembarca em terras brasileiras Heitor Furtado de Mendonça e, com ele, a Primeira Visitação do Santo Ofício, para investigar, argüir, devassar ânimos e comportamentos, descobrir a verdade dos fatos, enfim, para demonstrar os erros da fé e puni-los com o rigor da lei eclesiástica. Sua passagem abre-nos vestígios para a visualização da sexualidade vigente no “trópico”: um universo misóginoracista em que negras da terra e mulheres degradadas podiam ser submetidas aos desejos do homem branco, com as quais podia copular a vontade. Sozinhas e esquecidas, as mulheres da Colônia não encontraram margem para denunciar ou se expressar e eram estigmatizadas pelo olhar dos viajantes e cronistas que por aqui passaram.
