A distribuição estatística das notas do exame nacional do ensino médio (ENEM): um sistema complexo educacional

Abstract

Neste trabalho estudamos as distribuições estatísticas das notas obtidas pelos estudantes brasileiros no ENEM (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio), que consta de duas partes: questões objetivas sobre ciências exatas, humanas e biológicas, multidisciplinares, sem separação por disciplinas e redação. Nós obtivemos na parte de redação, distribuições próximas da Normal, o que não ocorreu na parte objetiva, mas conseguimos obter boas representações, com a junção de três distribuições normais diferentes. A presença da Lei de Potência não ficou evidente, mas nós obtivemos probabilidades empíricas maiores para notas altas, o que acontece nesta distribuição. Nós supomos que na redação, a presença da educação informal é acentuada, enquanto na prova objetiva, a educação formal é importante. Comparamos, também, notas de quatro Estadas brasileiros, com diferentes níveis sócios econômicos, Bahia, Minas gerais, Rio Grande do Sul e São Paulo. O percentual de estudantes que têm interesse neste exame é maior em São Paulo, seguido por Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul e Bahia. Como São Paulo é um Estado mais desenvolvido economicamente, parece ser a educação importante para o desenvolvimento econômico.

In this work, we studied the statistical distribution of marks obtained by students in ENEM (National Examination of Medium level Education - High School). We found that in language and essay examination, the distribution is given through gaussian (normal). For objective examination which include social, biological and exact sciences, the gaussian distribution is a very poor fit. We obtain a good fit considering sum. Of three diferent normal distribution. As objective examination in multi-discipline, power law distribution is not clearly observed. However we found empirical probability more than normal probability for higher marks as happened in power law distribution. We feel that in language, informal education is more important and it is same for all, there by giving normal distribution. In objective examination, school teaching is more important. We also compare four States: Bahia, Minas Gerais, Rio grande de Sul and São Paulo with diferent economical level. We observed that higher percentage of people in São Paulo appeared in this examination followed by Minas Gerias, Rio Grande do Sul and Bahia, indicating better level of education in São Paulo. It appears that education and economical developement go together.
