Meu tio Atahualpa de Paulo de Carvalho Neto: o enigma mulher no universo feminino do romance malandro

Abstract

Ao delinear a posição e o espaço ocupado pela mulher na picaresca clássica, este trabalho busca estabelecer uma contraposição desta com a representação do feminino no romance malandro Meu tio Atahualpa de Paulo de Carvalho Neto, publicado pela primeira vez no Brasil em 1978. Portanto, tendo como referencial teórico a crítica feminista, procura-se desvelar, através da análise textual, a construção das imagens referentes ao feminino, tracejando assim, o espaço que a mulher passa a incorporar dentro dessa narrativa contemporânea e seu significado para a compreensão das novas relações estabelecidas a partir da estruturação dos estudos de gênero.

When delineating the position and the space occupied by the woman in the picaresque classic, this work search to establish an opposition of this with the women s representation in the rogue novel Meu tio Atahualpa by Paulo de Carvalho Neto, published for the first time in Brazil on 1978. Therefore, having the feminist criticism as theoretical referential, it tries to watch, through the textual analysis, the construction of the referring images to the feminine, like this, the space that the woman passes to incorporate inside of that contemporary narrative and its meaning for the understanding of the new relationships established starting from the structuring of the gender studies.
