Missão de estabilização das Nações Unidas no Haiti (2004-2011): problemas, progressos e desafios

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal compreender a Missão de Estabilização das Nações Unidas no Haiti (MINUSTAH), promovida pela Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) no período que compreende de 2004 a 2011, através da análise de seu mandato e das suas três principais áreas de atuação, a saber: manutenção da ordem e da segurança; estabilização política e governança; e direitos humanos. Buscou-se entender os problemas que fazem com que o Haiti não dê sinais de recuperação e procurou-se identificar os progressos e desafios da operação na busca pela reconstrução do Haiti

This study aims to understand the Mission to the United Nations Stabilization in Haiti (MINUSTAH), promoted by the United Nations (UN) during the period covered 2004 to 2011, through the analysis of its mandate and its three areas of action, namely: maintaining order and security; stabilization policy and governance; and human rights. We sought to understand that make Haiti does not show signs of recovery and tried to identify the progress and challenges of the operation in search to rebuild Haiti
