Impacto da escola na sociedade corvina

Abstract

Este estudo emerge da necessidade de analisar e compreender qual o impacto da escola na sociedade corvina. Neste contexto são estudados os processos de representação social da escola e das dinâmicas sociais que se estabelecem entre a escola e a comunidade. O presente estudo pretende encontrar algumas respostas sobre quem contribuiu para o impacto da escola na sociedade corvina, quais os aspectos que o influenciam, se esteve ou não dependente de características locais e regionais para o estabelecimento destas relações, quais as representações sociais da escola na comunidade corvina. Assim, foram exploradas as representações sociais da escola que possuem: os intervenientes educativos e as pessoas que fazem parte da comunidade; e das relações entre a escola e a comunidade. Para responder às hipóteses em estudo foram recolhidas informações através de 12 entrevistas realizadas a elementos pertencentes à escola e à comunidade e de notícias referentes à Escola Básica Integrada Mouzinho da Silveira. As entrevistas englobaram questões que facultaram informação sobre as representações sociais da escola e das dinâmicas que se estabelecem entre a escola e a comunidade. Os resultados obtidos a partir das entrevistas e das notícias foram analisados através do método qualitativo de análise de conteúdo. Adoptámos uma metodologia de investigação centrada num estudo de caso, de natureza essencialmente qualitativa de modo a estudarmos em profundidade as relações e percepções que se estabelecem entre a escola e a comunidade. Os resultados revelaram que o impacto da escola na sociedade corvina assumiu, uma importância significativa. A análise dos dados obtidos indicou existir uma imagem bastante satisfatória da escola ao nível da comunidade. Assim conclui-se que a sociedade considera fundamental a escola para a formação dos alunos e para a aprendizagem ao longo da vida ao muni-los com as bases essenciais para a sua vida futura. Os resultados também demonstram a actual insatisfação por não se verificar alargamento do ensino secundário regular.

This study emerges from the need to analyze and understand the impact of school in society croaker. In this context we have studied the processes of social representation of school and social dynamics that develop between the school and community. This study aims to find some answers about who contributed to the impact of school corvina in society, the aspects that influence, whether or not was dependent on local and regional characteristics for the establishment of these relations, social representations of school in community croaker. Thus, we explored social representations of school they have: the educational actors and people who are part of the community, and relations between the school and community. To meet the assumptions in the study were gathered information through interviews with 12 items belonging to the school and community and news regarding the Integrated School Mouzinho da Silveira. The interviews encompassed questions which provided information on the social representations of school and the dynamics that are established between the school and community. The results from interviews and news were analyzed using the qualitative method of content analysis. We have adopted a research methodology focused on a case study, essentially qualitative in order to study in depth the relationships and perceptions that are established between the school and community. The results revealed that the impact of school in society croaker assumed significant importance. The data analysis indicated a very satisfactory picture of the school community level. Thus it is concluded that the company considers essential to school for the training of students and for learning throughout life by arming them with the essential foundations for their future life. The results also show the current dissatisfaction is lacking extension of regular secondary education.
