As expressões artísticas e a transmissão de valores e princípios éticos nas aulas de educação moral e religiosa católica

Abstract

As aulas de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica têm características muito especiais. São aulas de carácter facultativo, que abordam temas que se prendem com os valores universais, no entanto procuram ter como base os princípios da religião católica. Nos dias que correm, uma disciplina que não é obrigatória, e que trata de temas que não são necessariamente aliciantes para os jovens, acaba por não fazer parte do universo de preferências curriculares, tendo um número reduzido de alunos. O facto de os alunos poderem optar pela matrícula nesta disciplina, faz com que o professor que a leciona tenha a responsabilidade acrescida de cativar ao máximo os jovens, para não perder os que estão inscritos, e para levar mais alunos a inscreverem-se. Com este estudo pretendeu-se investigar até que ponto as Expressões Artísticas podem ser um veículo potenciador/ facilitador na transmissão e aquisição de conhecimentos. Isto é, se podem auxiliar e contribuir para a transmissão de valores e princípios éticos nas aulas de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica e ao mesmo tempo, cativar os alunos, levando-os a ganhar mais gosto pela disciplina, eliminando a ideia de perda de tempo que a maior parte deles faz destas aulas. Ao mesmo tempo, pretendemos compreender a relação que os alunos mantêm com as diversas formas de Expressões Artísticas. A investigação realizou-se por meio de um estudo de caso, seguindo uma metodologia essencialmente qualitativa. Este estudo permitiu concluir que as expressões artísticas aplicadas, em contexto de sala de aula, como suporte dos conteúdos teóricos, beneficia a aquisição de conhecimentos/valores, tornando mais enriquecedor, atrativo, motivante e descontraído, o processo de ensino-aprendizagem.

Moral and Religious Catholic Education classes have very special characteristics. Classes have an optional character that cover topics relating to universal values, however they seek to be based on the principles of the catholic religion. These days, a discipline that is not mandatory, and which deals with themes that are not necessarily attractive to young people, turns out not to be a part of curricular preferences. Due to this, classes have a small number of students. The fact that students can opt for registration in this discipline, gives the teacher the greater responsibility to captivate the most of young people, in order not to lose those who are subscribed, and to bring in more students to sign up. With this study we want to investigate to what extent the artistic expressions can be a facilitator/enhancer in the transmission and acquisition of knowledge. That is, if artistic expressions can contribute to the transmission of values and ethical principles in the Moral and Religious Education classes and also, if they allow to motivate students , giving them more interest for discipline. At the same time, we will understand the relationship that students maintain with the various forms of artistic expression. The investigation will take place through a case study, following a methodology essentially qualitative. This study made it possible to conclude that the artistic expressions applied, in the context of the classroom, as support of theoretical contents, benefits the acquisition of knowledge/values, making the teaching and learning process more enriching, attractive, motivating and relaxed.
