Cultura pesqueira e o processo de sua patrimonialização em Moçambique, 1901 aos nossos dias

Abstract

O presente trabalho analisou a cultura pesqueira visando, em última instância, sistematizar os critérios que definiram a selecção, no universo cultural ligado à actividade pesqueira em Moçambique, dos elementos culturais que, pela sua natureza, ascenderam à dimensão de património cultural. A escolha desses elementos para ascenderem à categoria de elementos culturais significativos da actividade pesqueira foi contextualizada na sua dimensão histórica, considerando que a actividade pesqueira é um processo evolutivo. Fez-se também a sua contextualização na dimensão antropológica, uma vez que parte considerável da actividade pesqueira tem a sua origem no processo da sua patrimonialização na cultura. Neste sentido, considerando a importância, não só económica como também social, do sector e, no sentido de salvaguardar a sua memória, foi adoptado um museu que se constitui como instrumento de preservação, não só da memória histórica do sector mas também de parte da representatividade da cultura material e imaterial da actividade pesqueira. É neste contexto que foi sistematizado o historial da criação de um museu para o sector das pescas, o qual data há mais de um século, tendo sido materializada em 2013. Por fim, partindo do processo de recolha de objectos até a construção da exposição, foi aferida a abrangência do museu como instrumento de preservação contemplando a natureza do legado cultural da actividade pesqueira como o culminar do processo de patrimonialização.

In this study we analyzed the seizure fishing culture aiming ultimately systematize the criteria defined selection in this cultural universe linked to fishing activities in Mozambique, the cultural elements which by their nature totaled dimension of cultural heritage. However, these choices for the elevation of cultural elements of the fishing were contextualized in their historical dimension, considering that fishing activity is an evolutionary process and in its anthropological dimension, since a considerable part of the fishing has its roots in process of its heritable is based in culture. In this way, considering the importance not only economic but also social of fisheries sector and to safeguard the sector's memory, was defined the museum is constituted as a conservation tool not only the historical memory of the fishing sector but also the material and immaterial fishing culture. In this context, it was systematized the history of creation of a museum for the fisheries sector, taking over more than a century and was materialized in 2013. Finally, starting from objects collection process to the exhibition building, it was measured the breadth of the museum as a conservation tool, considering the nature of the cultural legacy of the fishing as the culmination of the process patrimonialization.
