O humor na educação

Abstract

Resumo - Este trabalho versa sobre a problemática do uso do humor enquanto ferramenta educacional, um tema ainda pouco explorado. Tem como objectivo principal averiguar se o uso de elementos humorísticos pode facilitar e potenciar a aprendizagem. Recorrendo a uma investigação quase-experimental estudámos dois grupos de alunos: um em que foi usado o humor para explicar e ilustrar a matéria [grupo experimental] e outro em que esses elementos não foram usados [grupo de controlo]. Comparando os resultados em exame e as suas atitudes face à matéria dada, observámos que o grupo experimental foi mais bem sucedido no exame e cultivou a sua criatividade e motivação. As análises quantitativas e qualitativas desta investigação levam-nos a pensar que o humor pode ser usado, criteriosamente, com fins educativos

Abstract - This investigation work looks to the subject of the humour as an educational tool, a theme little explored so far. Its main objective is to recognize if the use of humoristic elements can facilitate and empower learning. With a quasi-experimental research we’ve studied two groups of students: one in witch humour was used to explain and illustrate the subject matter [experimental group], and one in witch those elements were not used [control group]. Comparing the results in the exam and their attitudes towards the subject matter, we observed that the experimental group was better succeed in the exam and carried out more motivation and creativity. The analysis of the quantitative and qualitative data leads us to think that humour can be used, with criteria, in education
