Sistema agroindustrial da Tilápia na região de Toledo-PR e comportamento de custos e receitas

Abstract

A piscicultura é uma atividade inserida no contexto da agropecuária do oeste do Estado do Paraná. O estudo analisou o Sistema Agroindustrial (SAG) da criação de tilápias em viveiros escavados no Município de Toledo, Estado do Paraná. Foram realizadas entrevistas com os componentes do SAG, em duas etapas: na primeira, de março a maio de 2000, foram determinados os níveis tecnológicos adotados pelos piscicultores e especificados os itens que compõem o custo de produção destas tecnologias. Na segunda etapa, em julho de 2007, foram avaliadas as alterações tecnológicas ocorridas entre 2000 e 2007 e realizado o levantamento das dimensões do SAG da piscicultura no município. A partir dos dados coletados na primeira etapa, foram realizados levantamentos dos preços dos itens que compõem o custo de produção, no período de set/00 a ago/05. Foi determinado o custo de produção utilizando-se a estrutura do custo total de produção. O custo fixo representou 7,0% e o custo variável 93,0% do custo total de produção. A ração somou 59,7% do custo total, sendo o item de maior participação no custo total de produção. O SAG da tilápia na região passou de um período de grande dinamismo para uma crise no setor; a inadimplência foi um dos principais fatores que afetaram os vários elos do SAG e fragilizou o sistema como um todo. O lucro obtido com o cultivo de tilápias mostrou-se interessante somente em alguns períodos e, por isso, o piscicultor deve ficar atento ao alto custo de produção e elevado capital circulante e fixo necessário para sua operacionalidade.

Fish farming is an activity inserted in the agriculture and cattle raising context of the west of Paraná state. The study analyzed the Agribusiness System (SAG) of raising of tilapias in nurseries escavated in the Toledo County, Paraná state. Interviews were made with the components of SAG in two stages: in the first stage, from March to May 2000, the technological levels adopted by the fish farmers were determined and the items that compose the cost of production of these technologies were specified. In the second stage, in July 2007, the technological alterations that occurred between 2000 and 2007 were evaluated and a survey of the SAG dimensions of the fish farming in the county was done. From the data collected in the first stage, a survey of the price of the items that compose the cost of production was made, in the period of September 2000 until August 2005. The cost of production was determined using the total production cost structure. The fixed cost represented 7,0% and the variable cost represented 93% of the total production cost. The fish food added 59,7% of the total cost, being the item of greater participation in the total production cost. The SAG of the tilapias in the region moved from a period of great dynamism to a crisis in the sector; the insolvency was one of the main factors that affected the many links of SAG and weakened the system as a whole. The profit obtained with the cultivation of tilapias proved to be interesting only in some periods, therefore the fish farmers must be aware of the production cost and elevated circulatory capital as well as the fixed one needed for its operation.
