This work introduces a simple, single-step, impedance-derived capacitance spectroscopic approach as a convenient and direct way of reporting the heterogeneous rate of electron-transfer between an electrode and solution-phase redox species. The proposed methodology requires no equivalent circuit analysis or data fitting and is equally applicable to the strong coupling (diffusion-mediated) or weak coupling electron-transfer regimes.en
