Comparação entre as habilidades motoras de chutar e rebater em crianças do primeiro ano do ensino fundamental

Abstract

This research analyzes the development of motor skills of kicking andhitting 60 children, six years old, from three schools in the city of Bauru. Thestudents were videotaped performing the task of kicking and hitting. Thecollected data were analyzed by three independent evaluators who rated theskills in development stages (early, elementary and mature), following thecharacteristics presented by Gallahue and Ozmun (2005), adding two morecategories: beginner / intermediate, elementary / intermediate. The resultsshowed that there were differences between the skills of kicking and hitting.This may be related to cultural aspects. Also found that most children havenot reached the mature stage of development the two skills, which is contraryto that expected in the literature.

Esta pesquisa analisou o desenvolvimento motor das habilidades dechutar e rebater de 60 crianças, de seis anos de idade, de três escolas nacidade de Bauru. Os alunos foram filmados realizando as tarefas de chutar erebater. Os dados coletados foram analisados por três avaliadoresindependentes, que classificaram as habilidades em estágios dedesenvolvimento (inicial, elementar e maduro), seguindo as característicasapresentadas por Gallahue e Ozmun (2005) acrescentando mais duascategorias: inicial/intermediário e elementar/intermediário. Os resultadosobtidos demonstraram que houve diferença entre as habilidades de chutar ede rebater. Tal fato pode estar relacionado aos aspectos culturais. Tambémfoi constatado que a maioria das crianças não atingiu o estágio maduro dedesenvolvimento para as duas habilidades, o que é contrário ao esperadopela literatura.
