Imagens do professor na Revista Língua Portuguesa: considerações sobre ethos e representação

Abstract

In this paper, we analyze reader’s letters of the first copies of the Revista Língua Portuguesa. This work aims to expand the study of the relations, in this magazine, between discourses that come from different spheres of communication, as the Bakhtin Circle considers. The intention is to develop by studying the speech genre “reader’s letter” a reflection on the construction of the recipient’s image in the journal, i.e. the teacher. It is analyzed the discursive ethos and the representation of the teacher created by the readers.

Neste trabalho, são analisadas cartas do leitor dos primeiros exemplares da Revista Língua Portuguesa. O objetivo principal é ampliar a reflexão sobre as relações, nessa revista, entre discursos que provêm de diferentes esferas da comunicação, tal como as considera o Círculo de Bakhtin. Tomando-se, neste estudo, o gênero do discurso “carta do leitor”, a intenção é desenvolver uma reflexão sobre a construção da imagem de um destinatário previsto pelo periódico, o professor. Investiga-se o ethos discursivo do professor ao proferir um discurso sobre si e a representação que outros leitores fazem do docente.
