Os antecedentes e a luta atual em torno da Conferência Nacional de Comunicação

Abstract

The ancient struggle for a National Conference on Communication in Brazil, truly representative and with clear opportunities to define new rules to the sector of communication, has been waged for years and was conducted in late 2009. It is proposed to identify the background of the historic struggle for CNC can be perceived in the defense of press freedom and freedom of expression in seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, most recently in the movements of democratization policy in the 80s and 90s. The research was done by analyzing the direct and indirect official document concerning the establishment of guidelines and the convening of the Conference, and manifestation of civil society and business. 


A antiga luta por uma Conferência Nacional de Comunicação no Brasil, realmente representativa e com claras oportunidades de definir nova regulamentação ao setor de Comunicação foi travada durante anos e foi realizada no final de 2009. Propõe-se a identificar os antecedentes da luta histórica pela CNC que pode ser percebido na defesa da liberdade de imprensa e de expressão, nos séculos XVII e XVIII, e mais recentemente nos movimentos de redemocratização política na década de 80 e 90, e na luta travada na Câmara dos Deputados em 2003. A pesquisa foi feita a partir da análise documental oficial direta e indireta, referente ao estabelecimento de diretrizes e à convocação da Conferência, além de manifestação da sociedade civil organizada e do empresariado.
