Museu odontológico: o resgate de uma história

Abstract

The University Extension project “Dentistry Museum: the Rescue of a History” developed by the Dentistry college of Araraquara, is destined to rescue and preserve the history of dentistry, searching the cultural knowledge and formation of all the unespian community and the population of Araraquara and region. With the exposition of a collection of approximately 3.000 rich and varied pieces, a great deal of them with significant expressiveness and historical meaning, its visitors have the opportunity to observe and follow the history of Dentistry since 1895 until the present day.

O projeto de Extensão Universitária "Museu odontológico: o Resgate de uma História" desenvolvido pela Faculdade de Odontologia de Araraquara, destina-se a resgatar e preservar a história da Odontologia, buscando o conhecimento e a formação cultural de toda a comunidade unespiana e da população de Araraquara e região. Com a exposição de um acervo que contempla aproximadamente 3.000 peças ricas e variadas, muitas delas com acentuada expressividade e significado histórico, os visitantes têm a oportunidade de observar e acompanhar a história da Odontologia a partir do ano de 1895 até os dias atuais.
