Aspectos biológicos de Cycloneda sanguinea (L.) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) e de Aphis gossypii Glover (Hemiptera: Aphididae), criados nas cultivares DeltaOPAL e NuOPAL (Bollgard I)

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivos estudar os parâmetros biológicos de Aphis gossypii nas cultivares comerciais NuOPAL (Bollgard I) e DeltaOPAL, assim como do predador Cycloneda sanguinea, tendo como presa pulgões criados na cultivar transgênica NuOPAL e na sua isolinha DeltaOPAL. Os experimentos foram realizados em laboratório sob condições controladas de temperatura (25 ± 1º C), umidade relativa (70 ± 10%) e fotofase (12 horas), e em casa de vegetação da FCAV/UNESP, em Jaboticabal, SP. No experimento da biologia do pulgão a duração dos estádios ninfais e fase ninfal, duração do período reprodutivo, pós-reprodutivo, longevidade das fêmeas e número total de ninfas por fêmea, não apresentaram diferenças significativas, assim como os parâmetros de fertilidade. A cultivar transgênica NuOPAL não afetou a biologia de A. gossypii em relação a sua isolinha não-Bt. No experimento da biologia de C. sanguinea alimentadas com A. gossypii, a duração da fase larval foi menor quando alimentadas com pulgões criados na cultivar NuOPAL, enquanto a longevidade dos adultos e o período reprodutivo foram maiores. A fertilidade das fêmeas e viabilidade de ovos também foram menores

The objective of this work was to study the biological parameters of Aphis gossypii in NuOPAL cultivars (Bollgard I) and DeltaOPAL, as well as the predator Cycloneda sanguinea with the aphid prey reared on transgenic cultivar NuOPAL and its isoline DeltaOPAL. The experiments were performed in the laboratory under controlled temperature (25 ± 1 º C), humidity (70 ± 10%) and photophase (12 hours) and a greenhouse of FCAV / UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP. In the experiment of the biology of aphids the duration of nymphal phases, duration of reproductive period, post-reproductive longevity of females and total number of nymphs per female, showed no significant differences, as well as the parameters of fertility. The cultivar NuOPAL transgenic cultivar not affect the biology of A. gossypii in relation to its non-Bt isoline. In the experiment of the biology of C. sanguinea fed aphids A. gossypii the larval period was shorter when fed aphids reared on the cultivar NuOPAL, while the longevity of adults and the reproductive period were higher. The female fertility and egg viability were also lower
