A Construção de sentidos sobre a violência doméstica por crianças vítimas

Abstract

A família moderna, além de se caracterizar como o principal espaço de socialização de seus membros, torna-se, na sociedade atual, a responsável igualmente pela sua conservação. Imersa em uma série de ideais de diferentes naturezas (religiosos, filosóficos, políticos, sociais etc.), a família é também compreendida como um lugar seguro e capaz de proporcionar o desenvolvimento sadio de seus membros. No entanto, a convivência diária de uma família possui diversas facetas distintas e nem sempre relacionadas ao ideal de família veiculado. A violência doméstica é uma dessas facetas e sua ocorrência vem justamente desmistificar o ideal que fora construído historicamente acerca do tema família. A educação através da punição é um hábito antigo que teria surgido, nos termos de Ariès (1978), à medida que a família burguesa se constituiu, por volta dos séculos XVII-XVIII, hábito que fora reforçado nos antigos colégios, onde o professor era autorizado a castigar os alunos. Esse hábito de educar por meio da punição ainda é muito comum nas famílias atuais e tem-se legitimado pela crença de que somente dessa maneira é possível que se eduque uma criança. Os prejuízos dessa prática educativa são imensos e atingem áreas importantes da vida de suas vítimas. A vivência da violência doméstica faz, no entanto, com que a criança acabe naturalizando esse fenômeno, à medida que se apropria da violência enquanto forma de educação. Compreender a perspectiva que a criança possui sobre a situação de violência constituiu o objetivo deste estudo.
