dc.description.abstractFoi residência de D. Maria Domitila de Castro Canto e Mello, em 1834 . Considerado como último exemplar de arquitetura residencial urbana do século XVIII. A sua atual feição neoclássica data da segunda metade do século XIX, tendo seu anexo sido construído em etapas durante as décadas de 1930 e 1940. Abrigou os escritórios da “The San Paulo Gas Company”(1909), Comgás (1967-1972) e a Secretaria Municipal da Cultura (1975-1984). Foi restaurado em 1991 e atualmente é sede do Departamento de Patrimônio Histórico da Prefeitura de São Paulo.pt_BR

dc.description.abstract2It was the residence of Dona Maria Domitila de Castro Canto e Mello, in 1834. Considered the last example of urban residential architecture of the 18th century, its current neoclassic features date from the second half of the 19th century, the annex having been built in stages during the 1930s and 1940s. It held the São Paulo Gas Company(1909), Comgás(1967-1972) and the Municipal Secretary of Culture(1975-1984) offices. It was renovated in 1991 and is current São Paulo DPHP headquarters.en_US
